Maestra: Strings of Truth, Ep 9 aired on tvN last night to lower ratings than its previous episode.

Although the Korean drama still ended up in the #1 place in its time slot.

It was one of three dramas that saw a ratings fall on Saturday evening (along with My Demon and Welcome to Samdalri) but, like the other two, is still doing very well with international viewers who are praising both its main actors’ performances and the drama’s plot and cinematography.

According to Nielsen Korea’s latest data, Maestra: Strings of Truth, Episode 9 earned 4.65 percent of the audience share — which was down from Episode 8’s rating of 4.97 percent on New Year’s Eve.

International viewers’ ratings should be much higher?

As for international viewers, ratings on IMDB have been solid since it began airing, and with viewers on others sites leaving overwhelmingly positive comments, ranging from comments about the characters:

I really like how the FL here is shown weak and strong at the same time. She is capable of doing things her own way even if it shatters her to core. tvN really plays with my mind sometimes.

to the drama itself, after Episode 9 aired:

Just when I thought it couldn’t get better, this episode was so good! I can’t wait for the next one. Wow we only have 3 episodes left.

with some even criticizing the My Drama List ratings (a crazy low 7.9 out of 10 for one of the best K-dramas of 2023)

I don’t understand why MDL’s rating is so low still. Are most users obsessed with romance? This is a HER story type of drama. She’s on the poster alone for god’s sake

Maestra: Strings of Truth stars Lee Young Ae, Lee Moo Saeng, Kim Young Jae, and Hwang Bo Reum Byeol.

The next episode of Maestra: Strings of Truth will air tonight on tvN and TVING in South Korea, with Disney Plus streaming it for international subscribers in select regions.

Fingers crossed we see a ratings rise because, as current dramas go, this is one of the best of the bunch.
