My Demon Ep 12 has lowest rating ever after big drop from Ep 11

After the SBS drama My Demon, Episode 11 saw a slight ratings drop on Friday night, apparently that fall wasn’t enough for South Korean viewers as My Demon, Episode 12 aired earlier tonight to an even bigger drop, ending up with the show’s lowest rating ever.

According to the data just released from Nielsen Korea, My Demon, Episode 12 was able to grab just 2.9 percent of the audience share on Saturday night.

That is down .80 percent from Episode 11, and is officially the K-drama’s lowest ever rating by .50 percent. (The drama’s previous lowest rating was 3.40 percent for both Episode 2 and Episode 5).

Interestingly too, the latest fall in the ratings occurred in South Korea right after an episode that was actually one of the best in the last few weeks.

It also occurred the week after leads Kim Yoo Jung and Song Kang were awarded the Best Couple award as the SBS Drama Awards.

With four more episodes yet to air, however, there is still time for the K-drama’s audience share to head back up.

Fingers crossed.

Meanwhile, My Demon is still incredibly successful with international viewers, as it is now in its sixth week on the Top 10 Most-Watched Non-English TV Shows chart on Netflix, while earning strong ratings on sites like My Drama List, and IMDB.

The drama’s next episode will air on SBS and stream on Netflix on January 12th.
