Mono anime gets An Kiriyama character video and, yep, she’s adorable

There is exciting news for fans of Afro’s whimsical manga, Mono!, and its upcoming anime adaptation, as a new character promotional video has just dropped, and it’s packed with charm.

An Kiriyama‘s character video introduces the high school student, as well as features panels from the original manga.

An adorable An Kiriyama character visual was also released via the anime’s X account at the same time. (below)

The wonderful Japanese voice actress Aoi Koga (Kaguya in Kaguya-sama: Love is War) will lend her voice to An Kiriyama, a second-year student with a heart full of dreams and her phone filled with pictures of her idol, Satsuki.

In fact, An’s passion for Satsuki is so deep that she’s joined the new Cinephoto club (the now-merged Photography and Cinema clubs), even though her real interests lie elsewhere.

It’s all about the love for her fellow club member, after all.

Mono anime staff details

Mono revolves around a group of high school girls who find their social haven in the unique “cinephoto” club, a club that blends the arts of cinema and photography.

The helm for the Mono anime adaptation is being taken by Ryouta Aikei (episode director of Jujutsu Kaisen).

Character designs are being crafted by Takuya Miyahara, with scripts penned by Yoko Yonaiyama (A Sign of Affection).

Studio Soigne is in charge of anime production, with Mono their debut series.

Mono originally started its journey back in March 2017 when it began serialization in a Japanese magazine.

The manga’s fourth volume recently hit the shelves on April 25th, continuing to capture hearts with its cute slice-of-life adventures.

For those who have read the Mono manga and are drawn to Afro’s storytelling, remember the mangaka is also behind the beloved Laid-Back Camp series.

That series, which began in 2015, has seen multiple anime adaptations over the last almost decade, including a film that wrapped up last year, and has showcased Afro’s knack for creating stories that resonate with a wide audience.

From the looks of Mono, it may just be another one we all fall in love with as well.

We will keep you up-to-date here at Leo Sigh as more information about Mono is released. Until then, enjoy the adorable An Kiriyama character video below.

The video, of course, also features the voice of Aoi Koga.
