The ongoing Korean drama Romance in the House has already climbed onto the Netflix Top 10 Most-Watched Non-English TV Shows chart just two days after it was released.
According to the world’s largest streaming platform, Romance in the House arrived at #6 on the chart for the period August 5th to August 11th, when the Korean drama only premiered on the platform on August 10th.
The Korean drama gained that spot after being viewed 1.2 million times for a total of 2.1 million hours watched.
Romance in the House was also one of three Korean TV shows in the Top 10 this week, as K-drama Miss Night and Day is currently in the #2 spot followed by the reality TV show The Influencer at #4.
The comedy drama Romance in the House stars Ji Jin Hee, Kim Ji Soo, Son Na Eun and Choi Min Ho.
It tells the story of a divorced mother and her adult son and daughter who, after believing the children’s father is dead, suddenly discover he is not only alive and well but is now a billionaire and has just bought the apartment building they live in.
Romance in the House airs in South Korea on JTBC every Saturday and Sunday, with Netflix streaming new episodes on the same days.
