Shin Min Ah, star of the ongoing Korean Drama No Gain No Love (see photo above), may be starring in the upcoming fantasy romance drama The Remarried Empress (working title).

According to Korean entertainment news, an industry insider has reported Shin Min Ah is one of the main cast of the new Korean drama The Remarried Empress.

Her agency, AM Entertainment, however, had a different take as they responded earlier today with the usual comment “She is currently positively reviewing an offer to star in The Remarried Empress”.

In other words, chances are she is the female lead, but we are not going to confirm that to you just yet.

What is The Remarried Empress‘ plot?

The Remarried Empress drama is based on the romance webtoon that is currently being published in English by Yen Press imprint Ize Press.

Its plot follows Navier, the empress of an eastern empire who has been happily married to Emperor Sovieshu for years. A marriage she believes will go on for the rest of their lives.

But one day, after Sovieshu meets and falls in love with a beautiful girl while visiting a forest, Navier realizes her life is about to change forever.

Not one to wallow in self-pity, however, Navier then asks Sovieshu for a divorce. But a divorce with one condition.

She should be free to marry any other man she wants. Even if that means she becomes the empress of another realm.

Shin Min Ah is reported to be considering accepting the role of Navier.

Shin Min Ah’s career

Of course, starring in a romance drama is nothing new to the now-40-year-old Shin Min Ah.

After all, she has already starred in dramas A Love to Kill, My Girlfriend is a Gumiho, Arang and the Magistrate, Oh My Venus, Tomorrow with You, Hometown Cha Cha Cha, Our Blues and the currently airing No Gain No Love , (which, by the way, has been performing very well on Amazon Prime Video).

Romance movies have also been a big draw for the popular Korean actress and model, with lead roles in films like Madeleine, Sad Movie, My Mighty Princess, Gyeongju, and My Love, My Bride.

Should she accept the role of Navier in The Remarried Empress then, it could be right up her alley.

We will keep you updated here at Leo Sigh as more information about the upcoming drama is released.

Until then, watch Shin Min Ah starring in one of her most popular roles as dentist Yoon Hye Jin in Hometown Cha Cha Cha on Netflix, or as determined-to-be-successful career woman Son Hae Yeong in No Gain No Love via Prime Video.
