Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938, Episode 9 experiences usual smaller Saturday audience

The Korean fantasy drama Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938, Episode 9 aired last night on tvN with its lowest ratings since the drama premiered on May 6th.

Something that is quite bemusing to me as the Lee Dong-Wook drama has consistently been one of the best of 2023 so far with each new episode released.

Those low ratings, however, did still place Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938, Episode 9 at #1 in its time slot.

According to Nielsen Korea, Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938, Episode 9 earned 4.98 percent of the audience share nationwide, which is a drop of 1.75 percent from the drama’s previous episode.

In Seoul, the latest episode of the fantasy drama earned a higher 6.15 percent, down 1.83 percent from Episode 8 but not the drama’s lowest rating in that region.

That being said, the Saturday evening episode of the drama has always had a lower rating than its Sunday episode, so it is highly likely Episode 10 will be back up to its normal levels later on tonight.

Especially as next weekend will see the drama’s final two episodes airing.

Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938, Episode 9 is now streaming on TVING in South Korea, and on Amazon Prime Video in some regions outside the country.

The tvN drama stars the superb cast of Lee Dong Wook, Kim So-Yeon, Kim Bum, and Ryu Kyung Soo.

It has been one of the most entertaining Korean dramas of the current season.
