The Escape of the Seven E10 more than held its own against My Dearest and Strong Girl Nam Soon

While The Escape of the Seven, Episode 10 aired on SBS in South Korea last night to another falling rating, there was a silver lining in the drama’s fall.

That was that, even though the 10th episode of the drama saw a fourth consecutive ratings fall, it still ended up as the fifth most-watched show on Korean TV for the day.

According to Nielsen Korea, the ratings for The Escape of the Seven, Episode 10 were 5.7 percent nationwide, which is a drop from its previous episode’s 6.0 percent share, and not far away from the lowest-ever rating the drama earned for its fifth episode (5.6 percent).

In Seoul, the revenge drama experienced a similar fall, with Episode 10 earning 5.9 percent of the audience share, which is a drop from the previous episode’s 6.7 percent.

But even that fall still placed the drama as the fourth most-watched show of the day with viewers in Seoul.

The Escape of the Seven held its own against My Dearest and Strong Girl Nam Soon

Considering The Escape of the Seven was also up against the 100-minute special episode of My Dearest airing on MBC on Saturday night, and overlapping part of the time slot of the equally popular Strong Girl Nam Soon, that the SBS drama only lost .30 percent of its audience share compared to its previous episode is also quite admirable.

In other words, even with several ratings drops for the SBS drama, it is more than holding its own against other dramas currently airing on Korean television around the same time slot.

The next episode of the drama will air on SBS on Friday, October 27th at 22:00 (KST), with both Viki and Kocowa airing it in select international regions.

Fingers crossed The Escape of the Seven will continue to maintain steady ratings, as it really is entertaining.
