Twinkling Watermelon Ep 2 ratings even HIGHER than first episode

It appears cute boys in a band is the perfect combination to attract bigger and bigger audiences.

At least if the latest episode of the new tvN drama Twinkling Watermelon is anything to go by.

That is because the official numbers are now out via Nielsen Korea for Twinkling Watermelon, Episode 2, which aired a few hours ago in South Korea, and they show an even higher rating nationwide than the drama earned for its first episode — 3.31 percent versus Episode 1’s rating of 3.14 percent.

A very solid rating for the second episode of a drama, and one that is likely to continue increasing as this cute boy-heavy drama continues.

It also placed the drama in the #1 position, compared to yesterday’s #2 spot.

Meanwhile in Seoul, Twinkling Watermelon, Episode 2 saw a slight drop in its rating — from 3.50 percent to 3.38 percent — but that drop is so insignificant, it is barely worth talking about.

Especially as, even with the slight ratings drop, Twinkling Watermelon, Episode 2 still ended up in second place on cable/pay TV.

Twinkling Watermelon stars Ryeoun, Choi Hyun Wook, Seol In Ah and Shin Eun Soo.

It airs every Monday and Tuesday evening on tvN in South Korea, with Viki streaming the drama outside the country. The second episode is already up on the platform to watch.

The K-drama’s next episode is due to air on October 2nd. Watch its trailer below (in Korean, but you’ll get the guist).
