The Korean teen drama Twinkling Watermelon, Episode 6 aired in South Korea last night with ratings that were steady compared to its previous episode (which, sadly, dropped quite substantially).
In other words, while the tvN drama has not yet managed to recoup the much higher ratings it earned for Episode 4, its core audience is still returning for each new episode so far.
An audience that, even with last night’s teeny tiny drop in ratings (see below), still helped place it in first place on cable TV yesterday, both nationwide and in Seoul.
Nationwide, the Twinkling Watermelon, Episode 6 ratings last night were 3.58 percent, which is down an inconsequential 0.1 percent from its previous episode’s 3.68 percent.
Hence, the drama is still holding “steady”. Especially as it is still earning higher ratings than that earned by its first episode on September 25th.
In Seoul, the fantasy, coming-of-age drama performed better grabbing 4.10 percent of the audience, which is slightly down from Episode 5’s rating of 4.39 percent.
Again, a small and inconsequential drop.
Twinkling Watermelon is directed by Son Jong-hyun, and stars Ryeoun, Choi Hyun Wook, Seol In Ah and Shin Eun Soo.
It airs on tvN in South Korea every Monday and Tuesday at 20:50 (KST), with Viki streaming the K-drama for international viewers soon after.
The tvN drama’s next episode will air next Monday, October 16th.
