With the delinquent-themed anime series Wind Breaker, Season 2 premiering on April 3rd in Japan, you have no idea how excited I am for this thing to finally hit.
After all, not only have I watched the first season through three times, Wind Breaker is one of only three anime series I have ever bought acrylic figures for (along with Heaven Officials’ Blessing and The Seven Deadly Sins), so you know the premiere of Season 2 is about to make my month.
My excitement, however, just became even more pronounced earlier today as the Aniplex YouTube channel released a new trailer — the Wind Breaker, Keel Arc trailer.
And, while the trailer is just a recap of events from Season 1, with its high-speed action and aggressive music, it still hints that the latest season of the anime is about to be epic.
Bofurin head off to kick Keel’s ass
The Wind Breaker, Keel Arc trailer, of course, is a reminder of how Season 1 of the action anime series ended — with protagonist Sakura and the rest of the Bofurin gang heading off to the camp of opposing gang Keel so they can kick some major ass.
This, after Sakura discovers Anzai from Class 1-1 has not only been bullied by members of Keel, but his friend Nagato has been forced to steal by them as well.

That ass kicking will be taking place due to Keel being nothing but a gang of bullies, not only to members of other gangs, but even to the younger members of their own gang.

They are also a gang that is becoming stronger by the month as they pull in more members — so are definitely a group that is a threat to the members of Bofurin, the students of Furin High School and to the townsfolk.
Episode 1 of Wind Breaker, Season 2 then should start off the series with a reckoning between Bofurin and Keel and, if my guess is correct, we probably all know who will end up the winners.
Although, with it being the ‘Keel Arc’, it may take Bofurin a while to get there.
Wind Breaker, Season 2 details
Just like the first season, the second season of the hit delinquent-themed anime is based on the manga written and illustrated by Satoru Nii.
It is again being directed by Toshifumi Akai, with Hiroshi Seok back in charge of series composition and Taishi Kawakami back designing those fabulous characters, as well as again acting as Chief Animation Director.
CloverWorks is also back animating the series.
