The Genie TV/ENA drama Your Honor, Episode 9 earned steady ratings in South Korea last night as it heads into its series finale later on tonight.
According to data via Nielsen Korea, the Kdrama’s penultimate episode — Your Honor, Episode 9 — earned 4.55 percent of the nationwide audience, which is an insignificant drop from its previous episode’s all-time high of 4.65 percent.
Viewers in Seoul tuned in in similar numbers, with the Korean crime drama grabbing 4.49 percent of the audience share — only slightly down from Episode 8’s rating of 4.56 percent.
The Korean drama is also earning a very high rating of 9.3 out of 10 on Viki, where it is streaming internationally.
Your Honor stars Son Hyun Joo, Kim Myung Min, Kim Do Hoon, and Heo Nam Jun.
Viki describes its plot like this:
Son Ho Young (Kim Do Hoon), the son of Judge Song Pan Ho (Son Hyun Joo), kills the son of crime boss Kim Kang Heon (Kim Myung Min) in a hit-and-run accident. While Pan Ho initially encourages Ho Young to confess, he eventually covers up the incident to protect him.
Kang Heon, currently in prison for tax evasion and embezzlement, seeks an early release after hearing of his son’s death. This sparks a fierce battle between two fathers on opposite sides of the legal spectrum. How far are they willing to go for their children?
The final episode of Your Honor will air tonight on ENA/Genie TV, with ENA warning Korean viewers the Kdrama will air at 9:55 pm instead of its usual 10 pm.
