TV Chosun’s upcoming rom-com DNA Lover has released stills from the new drama of two of the main leads Choi Siwon and Jung In Sun.

DNA Lover follows genetic researcher Han So Jin (played by Jung In Sun) who, after several disastrous relationships, decides the best way to find a future partner is through finding the best match for her and her potential partner’s genes.

In personality, she is said to be a bit of an otaku.

Meanwhile, highly successful obstetrician/gynecologist Shim Yeon Woo (Choi Siwon) has no problem getting into relationships, as he is a genius at winning women’s hearts.

The problem for Yeon Woo comes in, however, when the women become too demanding, as that is when he ends the relationship.

In the new DNA Lover stills we see Choi Siwon and Jung In Sun looking almost like polar opposites, as Siwon looks calm, cool and collected in his job as an obstetrician, while In Sun is much more expressive about her own emotions.

Maybe that is why she has had so many problems in relationships?

DNA Lover is directed by Sung Chi Wook (Kairos), and was written by Jung Soo Mi (Born Again).

It also stars other main leads Lee Tae Hwan (Secret Royal Inspector) as fireman and So Jin’s friend Seo Kang Hoon, and Jung Eugene (Snowdrop) as romance columnist and former girlfriend of Yeon Woo, Jang Mi Eun.

The upcoming rom-com drama (titled DNA 러버 in Korean) is a TV Chosun original.

The Korean drama will premiere on August 17th, 2024 and will then air every Saturday and Sunday at 21:10 (KST), with Viki streaming the K-drama for its international subscribers.
