DNA Lover cast is Choi Si Won, Jung In Sun, Lee Tae Hwan and Jung Yoo Jin – here’s what we know about its plot

DNA Lover main leads announced

Earlier today, the lineup for TV Chosun’s upcoming rom-com drama DNA Lover (working title) was finalized and announced, and it’s a good one, with Choi Si Won (Love is for Suckers), Jung In Sun (How to Be Thirty), Lee Tae Hwan (Touch), and Jung Yoo Jin (Snowdrop) now set to portray the four main characters in this new comedy drama.

Joo Hee Jae and Seo Ji Young have been named to the supporting cast.

The upcoming 16-episode DNA Lover is being directed by Sung Chi Wook (Kairos) and written by Jung Soo Mi (Born Again).

Heck, with all these stellar folks involved, we could see a hit drama right out of the gate.

What is the plot of DNA Lover?

The Korean drama’s story revolves around Han So Jin (played by Jung In Sun in her first drama since Let Me Be Your Knight), a genetic researcher seeking her ideal partner through genetic analysis, despite a history of failed relationships.

Meanwhile, Shim Yeon Woo (Choi Si Won) is a skilled obstetrician with a knack for charming women but who also quickly ends those relationships if a woman becomes too obsessed with him.

Something I am guessing will change after he meets Han So Jin.

Lee Tae Hwan, in his first drama since he completed his military service, plays Seo Kang Hoon, a dashing firefighter whose first priority in life seems to be Han So Jin.

So much so, he will never change his mind — whether it’s a job or a person.

And Jung Yoo Jin is Jang Mi Eun, a relationship columnist and Yeon Woo’s polyamorous ex-girlfriend, who believes the worst thing a woman can do is rely on just one man, as that will always lead to the woman, never the man, getting hurt.

Once the four really start to connect, sparks will fly.

The very fun sounding DNA Lover is currently scheduled for a June premiere.
