Kim Shi Eun and Kim Soo Hyun to star in Knock Off drama about counterfeit luxury products?

Korean actress Kim Shi Eun is reportedly in talks to join actor Kim Soo Hyun in an upcoming comedy drama!

According to Korean news media reports earlier today, Kim Shi Eun has been offered the lead female role in the upcoming series Knock Off (working title), alongside Kim Soo Hyun.

Kim Soo Hyun’s name was already mentioned in conjunction with Knock Off a couple of weeks ago with Goldmedalist, the actor’s agency, confirming at the time that the 36-year-old actor had received an offer and was reviewing it positively.

After reports of Kim Shi Eun’s potential involvement with Knock Off today, Goldmedalist, which is also the actress’ agency, responded in the same way again.

In other words, with both being represented by the same agency, and both seeming to be looking favorably at the Korean drama, it sounds very likely them working on the project will become a thing.

What is the Knock Off plot?

As for Knock Off ( titled넉오프in Korean), not much has been released about the upcoming K-drama as yet.

We do know, though, that the black comedy is being directed by Park Hyun Suk (who did a brilliant job with Song of the Bandits), and takes place in the world of counterfeit luxury products.

As for both Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Shi Eun, both actors have already started off 2024 with superb projects helmed by fabulous directors so, if they accept roles in Knock Off, 2024 could be quite the year for both of them.

Kim Soo Hyun, of course, is one of the stars of the ongoing smash-hit drama Queen of Tears, which just became the 15th most-watched drama on cable TV this weekend.

Meanwhile, Kim Shi Eun has been named as one of the possible stars of Squid Game 2, which is due to premiere on Netflix later in the year.
