Korean actor Lee Dong Wook, star of Tale of the Nine-Tailed and Bad and Crazy, is currently in talks to star in the upcoming tvN drama Divorce Insurance (working title).
Various Korean news media sources reported earlier today that Lee Dong Wook’s agency responded to the casting news breaking with the usual comment “Our actor is currently reviewing an offer to star in Divorce Insurance“.
The same news media is reporting the plot of Divorce Insurance follows Noh Ki Jun (played by Lee Dong Wook), an elite insurance actuary who is already divorced three times.
Ki Jun works for an insurance company that is developing a new insurance policy that will target those who have gone through or are going through divorce.
Because of his own experiences in three failed marriages, Ki Jun will use what he knows to help develop the product.
Of course, we can expect this to dramatically affect his own life as well, can’t we?

There is no word yet on who will be cast opposite the 42-year-old actor, but we do know director Lee Won Suk (The Royal Tailor and Killing Romance) is directing, and that tvN is looking at broadcasting Divorce Insurance sometime in the first half of 2025.
Lee Dong Wook’s most recent career
Lee Dong Wook, who apparently only chooses projects that are likely to be very successful nowadays considering his recent track record, most recently starred in the hit drama A Shop for Killers in 2023 on Disney+.
That show is also likely getting a second season with, hopefully, the actor reprising that cool role.
Prior to that, he also starred in both Tale of the Nine-Tailed dramas, as well as in Strangers from Hell, Touch Your Heart, Life, Bubblegum and, of course, one of the most popular dramas of all time — Goblin.

As for future projects, along with his lucrative and very busy modeling career, Dong Wook is already starring in the upcoming JTBC drama The Good Man in 2024 alongside Lee Sung Kyung and Ryu Hye Young, and in the historical crime drama Harbin.
Fingers crossed he will accept the role in Divorce Insurance, as the premise of the new tvN drama sounds unusual and intriguing.
