Captivating the King‘s female lead Shin Se Kyung is reportedly in talks to star alongside Lomon in the upcoming K-drama Human Starting from Today.
According to Korean news media, Shin Se Kyung will star in the new nine-tailed fox-themed drama as a female gumiho.
In response, her agency, The Present Company, announced the 33-year-old actress has received an offer to star in Human Starting from Today (working title), and is positively considering it.
Human Starting from Today follows female gumiho Eun Ho who deliberately behaves differently than a traditional gumiho — no eating livers or bewitching men for her, as she has no interest in becoming human.
Unfortunately for Eun Ho, after an incident with a narcissistic soccer player (played by Lomon, if he accepts the role), she suddenly becomes the human she never wanted to be.
Shin Se Kyung’s previous roles
The Korean actress’s most recent work includes main roles in the aforementioned Captivating the King alongside Jo Jung Suk, as well as in dramas like Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramun, Run On, Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung, Black Knight: The Man Who Guards Me, The Bride of Habaek and Six Flying Dragons.
If she accepts the Human Starting from Today role, it will be her first drama of 2024.
Lomon, of course, is known for his role as Lee Soo Hyuk in All of Us are Dead, as Ji Soo Heon in Revenge of Others, and for playing So Eun Ho in Branding in Seongsu earlier this year.
Meanwhile, there is no word from Lomon’s agency as to whether he is considering a role in the upcoming drama.
We will keep you posted here on Leo Sigh as soon as more information is released.
