The ongoing Korean historical drama Captivating the King finished up its penultimate weekend tonight with another increase in its ratings.
An increase that was extremely close to the highest ever rating the K-drama previously earned for Episode 10 (6.70 percent), and one that placed the K-drama in the #1 spot in its time slot.
That Captivating the King, Episode 14 rating was 6.67 percent of the nationwide viewership.
That was a substantial jump from its previous episode’s rating of 4.94 percent, and only a teeny tiny 0.03 percent away from its highest rating that the K-drama earned for Episode 10.
It also likely means the excellent tvN drama has now set itself up for grabbing its highest ever ratings for next weekend’s final two episodes.
Captivating the King, Episode 14 rating in Seoul is a new personal best
Meanwhile, audiences in Seoul tuned in to the tvN drama in even larger numbers as Captivating the King, Episode 14 earned a new personal best in the capital city.
That personal best was 7.08 percent of the viewership, and a very nice increase from Episode 13’s 5.27 percent.
The final two episodes of Captivating the King will air on tvN next weekend — March 2nd and March 3rd, 2024.
Since its premiere on January 21st, the Jo Jung Suk and Shin Se Kyung-led drama has consistently been one of the best acted and most well-written K-dramas of 2024 so far.
Its final two episodes are not likely to disappoint.
