The upcoming football anime Shoot! Goal to the Future got a new key visual today on the show’s official website, along with an official premiere date.
That date is July 2nd, with Shoot! Goal to the Future airing on Tokyo MX, AT-X, TV Shizuoka, YTV, BS Fuji and BS NTV.
The latest Shoot! Goal to the Future key visual features Kazama, Kurokawa, Kokubo and Tsuji on the pitch getting ready for a match. (see below)
The show itself is based on the manga by Tsukasa Ćshima, and is the sequel to the original Toei Animation 58-episode anime series that aired from November, 1993 to December, 1994.
Yep, it has been almost 28 years since the first Shoot! Goal to the Future came out so, as you might imagine, football fans are more than a bit excited about this new release.
The anime series is directed by Noriyuki Nakamura (Save Me! Lollipop), with Junichi Kitamura (Cells at Work!) assistant directing.
Mitsutaka Hirota (Rent-a-Girlfriend) is in charge of series composition, with Yukiko Akiyama (Black Cat) as character designer.
EMT Squared is in charge of anime production.
Shoot! Goal to the Future will stream via Crunchyroll outside Japan.
If you’re a football fan, watch the previously released trailer, and mark your calendars for July. This one looks like it will be a lot of fun!
