With Stealer: The Treasure Keeper, Ep 4 nationwide viewership, the crime drama may have halted its falling audience
The tvN comedy crime drama Stealer: The Treasure Keeper, Episode 4 aired last night and, after a drop in audience in its previous episode, earned a slight bump in the ratings.
Stealer: The Treasure Keeper, Episode 4 viewership increased from the previous episode’s 3.58 percent of the audience nationwide in Korea, the drama’s smallest audience yet, to last night’s 3.76 percent.
Sure, that is only a small increase of .18 percent but it brings the tvN drama closer to the 4.67 percent its first episode earned, as well as gives Episode 4 the drama’s second largest audience yet.
What is Stealer: The Treasure Keeper about and who stars in it?
The Joo Won-led drama follows Hwang Dae Myung, a government official who is suspected of having a connection with a mysterious cultural property thief known as Skunk.
In order to prove his innocence Hwang joins Karma, an unofficial cultural asset recovery team set up to find Skunk and other thieves not able to be caught by official legal organizations.
The comedy drama stars Joo Won as Hwang Dae Myung, Lee Joo Woo as Lee Joo Woo an elite police officer who is part of Karma, Jo Han Chul who plays Jang Tae In as Karma’s founder, and Kim Jae Won as Shin Chang Hoon a former homicide detective.
The fabulous Choi Hwa Jung plays Karma’s gifted hacker Lee Chun Ja.
It is currently getting solid positive reviews from international viewers, who seem to be enjoying both its fast-action and its humor.
Stealer: The Treasure Keeper airs on tvN airs every Wednesday and Thursday at 22:30 (KST).
Outside Korea, the crime drama has not yet received distribution for western audiences. Fingers crossed that will happen soon.
