Lee Soo Hyuk leaves YG Entertainment as agency stops representing actors – signs with SARAM Entertainment

In more news of Korean actors switching agencies, SARAM Entertainment has just announced Doom at Your Service star Lee Soo Hyuk has left his previous agency, YG Entertainment, and has signed with them.
Lee had been with YG Entertainment since 2017 but, of course, the decision to leave YG Entertainment may not have solely been the actor’s.
That is because YG Entertainment itself announced earlier in the year it would no longer be representing actors and, instead, would be concentrating on the music artists signed with them. (Groups like BLACKPINK, TREASURE, and BABYMONSTER).
This comes after several scandals involving artists the South Korean agency represented, and subsequent financial losses, plagued them (for instance, 2019’s Burning Sun scandal).
That also means any other actors the agency still represents will also be leaving when their contracts expire.
Lee Soo Hyuk’s career
Meanwhile, Lee Soo Hyuk is now set to see his career rise even further after signing with SARAM Entertainment, an agency that primarily represents actors.
Current actors on their roster include Kang Yoon, Shin Woo Bin, Lee Seo Jun, Lee Yeon Hee, Jung Yun Ha, Soo Hyun, Jo Jin Woong, Choi Soo Young and Choi Hee Jin.
The agency itself commented about their latest signee:
We recently signed an exclusive contract with Lee Soo Hyuk. We will fully support Lee Soo Hyuk, who has built a distinctive image as both an actor and top model, so he can actively pursue opportunities on the global stage.
With hit roles like his recent starring role as Go Bal Gi in Queen Woo, his main role as grim reaper Park Joong Gil in the fantasy action thriller Tomorrow, and as Cha Ju Ik in the aforementioned Doom at Your Service, he is already set up to perform even better going forward.
