With nine episodes of the Korean romantic comedy drama A Good Day to Be a Dog now out, it is obvious the MBC drama is never going to be a hit.
That being said, A Good Day to Be a Dog, Episode 9 ratings from Wednesday night have been released by Nielsen Korea and, as has been the case for the last three episodes, the drama’s audience is still solid.
That audience gave last night’s episode of the K-drama 1.8 percent of the audience share nationwide.
That rating is only slightly down from its previous episode’s 1.9 percent, and in line with those of 6 out of the other 8 episodes released so far.
In other words, with just five more episodes to air, it appears the drama has found its footing and is likely to maintain its core audience through to its end.
A Good Day to Be a Dog‘s international viewers still giving excellent ratings
While many Korean viewers seem to be somewhat ambivalent about A Good Day to Be a Dog (likely because the K-drama is airing only once a week, as the show itself is excellent), international viewers don’t seem to share those feelings.
After all, IMDB users are still rating the Korean drama a solid 8.1 out of 10, visitors to My Drama List who are notorious for rating dramas low, are giving A Good Day to Be a Dog a high (for them) 8.3 out of 10, and viewers at Viki, where the drama is streaming, are rating it a very high 9.6 out of 10.
Comments about the drama also point out how “feel good” and “wholesome” the series is, and what great performances all the actors are giving.
Comments range from:
I wish they release this on Netflix worldwide after all the episodes release. I love this drama sooo much, but I tell my friends to wait till all the episodes air. Its a feel good binger. ♥️

This show is a gooey delicious grilled cheese sandwich dipped in warm tomato bisque soup on a chilly day – you know exactly what it’s going to taste like and still crave it every time. It kicks off with a fantastic blend of fantasy and rom-com with a sprinkle of historical flashbacks to ground the plot.

Overall then, the Korean drama seems to be satisfying international viewers immensely.
As it should, as it really does hit all the right spots.
