Ariana Grande’s ‘thank u, next’ brilliantly spoofs cult classic films — Mean Girls, Legally Blonde and more

Ariana Grande’s ‘thank u, next‘ music video spoofs 4 cult classic films, and it is brilliant

The new music video for Ariana Grande‘s ‘thank u, next‘ is very cool and very clever.

Released yesterday, and directed by Hannah Lux Davis, the ‘thank u, next‘ music video cleverly spoofs four cult classic films — Mean Girls, Legally Blonde, 13 Going on 30 and Bring It On — in just five minutes.

Classic scenes made even cooler by Ariana Grande include the famous ‘Jingle Bell Rock‘ scene by The Plastics in Mean Girls, ‘bend and snap’from Legally Blonde (a scene the original protagonist Reese Witherspoon loved), and the iconic Legally Blonde moment when Elle Woods arrives at CULA with her tiny little dog and her flashy car.

Ariana also persuaded various celebrity friends to appear in the video, including Troye Sivan, Jonathan Bennett, Colleen Ballinger and Kardashian mom Kris Jenner.

The fabulous Jennifer Coolidge reprises Paulette, her hilarious Legally Blonde role.

Watch Ariana Grande’s ‘thank u, next‘ music video below, and notice just how clever this whole creation is. And how Grande looks  to be enjoying every moment of it.

All I can say is expect her new video to be one of the most popular music videos ever released.  After all, it has been up on YouTube just 10 hours, and already has more than 30 million views. With new views currently growing at around 100,000 per minute.

Now that is very impressive!
