The Korean historical fantasy drama Arthdal Chronicles 2, Episode 3 aired in South Korea last night and earned its highest ratings of the current season so far.

Nielsen Korea has the drama earning 5.00 percent of the audience share nationwide, which is an increase from its previous episode’s 4.62 percent.

In Seoul, the third episode of the latest season also saw an even higher ratings increase — from Episode 2’s rating of 4.67 percent to last night’s 5.61 percent.

With nine more episodes yet to air of Arthdal Chronicles 2: The Sword of Aramun, that also means the drama has plenty of time to see even higher ratings increase as the season progresses.

International reviews of Arthdal Chronicles 2

International viewers also seem to be enjoying the second series in the tvN drama if their ratings are anything to go by.

Users of the My Drama List website, for instance, are currently rating it an 8.2 out of 10 — a solid rating from users of that site — and also leaving overwhelmingly positive comments.

Over on IMDB, which (annoyingly) does not separate the ratings for both seasons, the drama is also earning a reputable 8.3 out of 10.

According to Flix Patrol, Arthdal Chronicles 2 is also the second-most watched TV show on Disney Plus in South Korea, and the 10th most-watched show in Taiwan.

Arthdal Chronicles 2: The Sword of Aramun airs every Saturday and Sunday at 21:20 (KST) in South Korea, with Disney Plus streaming it in South Korea and in some international regions soon after.

The next episode will air later on tonight.

And, if you have not yet watched the excellent first season of the fantasy drama, that can still be found on Netflix.
