Filous releases ‘Monday‘ feat American singer songwriter Ashe
Austrian house music producer, remixer, multi-instrumentalist and all-around fantastic artist filous has just released another single and, man, this thing is pretty.
The song is called ‘Monday‘, it features the vocals of Ashe, the talented LA-based indie singer songwriter who has been doing a slew of collaborations in the last couple of years with artists such as Quinn XCII, Louis the Child, Win and Woo and, now, Austria’s filous.
The track is light, sweet, as catchy as hell, and with a snappy beat, cool synths and a chorus that just make you want to dance.
In other words, one of those magical songs that will embed itself so deep in your memory, you will be singing it to yourself for days after you first hear it.
‘Monday‘ also comes with one of filous’s fabulously quirky photographical song illustrations. This one of the producer standing in a typical Austrian back yard, holding a garden hose, and surrounded by gnomes.
Filous has fans in high places
Filous, by the way, is someone who has been popping up on my radar for the last couple of years. Most recently when Austrian music journalist Peter Schreiber mentioned him to me as someone he loves, and who he thinks everybody else should know about.
To the point that I have heard enough of the music filous creates, every time another new track pops up, I immediately head to listen. Because I know it will be something I am going to like.
No wonder then that the Austrian producer has been nominated for an Austrian Amadeus Award multiple times and, in 2017, was given the European Border Breakers Award (EBBA).

Ashe continues to make a very solid name for herself
As for Ashe, she continues to make a very solid name for herself in the music industry.
Previous to her filous ‘Monday‘ collab, she has wrote songs for Demi Lovato, Goldfish and Delaney Jane.
She was also nominated for a Juno Award back in 2017 for another collab she was involved in with Canadian record producer and DJ Shaun Frank.
Ashe currently has two EPs out, both featuring gorgeous tracks that are perfect showcases for her slightly husky, rich and quirky voice. (Yep, both of these artists have that quirky sensibility going for them, which I love).
No wonder they ended up collaborating together — they are perfect for each other.
