Time for some classic Avril Lavigne music for my Repeat Rotation Video today. It’s the awesome Avril Lavigne singing ‘Complicated‘, one of the best songs of the last 15 years and, of course, her rocking debut single and smash hit.
‘Complicated’ was so successful for Lavigne, it thrust her into the spotlight just weeks after it was released, a spotlight she’s stayed in ever since.
The song was in the number one spot on the Adult Top 40 chart for a massive 16 weeks, and was nominated for two Grammys.
Lavigne said at the time that she wrote ‘Complicated’ because she was tired of meeting people who were always ‘fake’. Gotta say I agree with her.
