The ongoing Korean weekend drama Beauty and Mr. Romantic, Episode 11 earned its lowest-ever rating on Saturday night.
The KBS2 drama, which premiered on March 23rd with a 15.3 percent audience share nationwide, dropped to last night’s 14.1 percent, after earning 16.5 percent for its previous episode last Sunday.
The latest numbers out via Nielsen Korea also show the K-drama earned an even lower 13.1 percent audience share from viewers in Seoul.
That being said, the planned 50-episode weekend drama is still performing around the same level as its predecessor Live Your Own Life, which went on to earn an average rating of 17.69 percent by the time it ended — and ended with a final episode grabbing 22.0 percent of the Sunday audience.
Plus, even with a lower rating on Saturday night, Beauty and Mr. Romantic, Episode 11 was still the most-watched show on Korean non-cable TV of any type for all of Saturday.
So there’s that.
Beauty and Mr. Romantic stars main leads Im Soo Hyang and Ji Hyun Woo, and will be back tonight at 19:55 (KST) on KBS2, and on American streaming platform Viki for international K-drama fans.
And sure, it’s overly melodramatic, like all weekend dramas, but I dare you to say it’s not entertaining!
