I don’t listen to a lot of country music. Not that I don’t like it, it’s just not a music genre I seem to gravitate towards that much.
I do hear country music songs occasionally that do grab me, though, and for some reason Brett Eldredge’s latest release ‘Mean to Me‘ is one of them. That is why I’m playing it as my Repeat Rotation Video today.
After all, ‘Mean to Me‘ is a very simple country music song. Nothing too twangy, no elaborate trying-to-be-down-home-and-cutesy with the lyrics. Just a simple heartfelt song, sung by a guy who wants to ‘be something’ to the woman he loves.
If mine could be the name that changes yours
The wine in your glass
The swing on your porch
The dollar in your pocket
And the peaceful in your sleep
Then I’d be what you mean to me
Oh and, yeah, I do have a thing for guys with beards and tattoos at the moment. Brett Eldredge only hits one of those requirements (no tats, that I can see), but he is gorgeous and he can sing. So…..he is still well worth an admiring…..or …two.
Watch Brett Eldredge singing ‘Mean to Me‘ below. And, as always with my Repeat Rotation Videos — play it loud, on headphones and, of course, put your dancing shoes on.
