Britney Spears renews Las Vegas residency for two more years — you go, girl

Britney Spears loves performing in Vegas so much she’s just announced she has renewed her Vegas contract at The Axis at Planet Hollywood, and will be extending her residency for another two years. Spears, who has been performing in her show Britney: Piece of Me since late December 2014, told E!Online she simply did not want to leave the city at the moment as she was enjoying herself too much.

“I’m not ready to leave Vegas yet! And I just really really love this show and this city,” she said. “I’m so proud of the show, and my band, my dancers and my crew have all become such a family to me. When it came down to me really having to make this decision, I just couldn’t imagine ending my residency at the end of this year.”

No wonder really, as Spears has been getting rave reviews for the show. A show she recently performed for the 100th time.

But, according to Spears, she is also going to take the opportunity to update Piece of Me, adding some different music, and working with her team to come up with new costumes and new props.

All I can say is, if you’re in the Vegas area and haven’t seen Britney Spears perform at Planet Hollywood, you really should. I know several people who have attended the show, one three times, and all have said what an incredible job she does and what a great show she puts on. And none of them are particular Britney fans.

Be nice to Britney Spears and she might not be so shy

As for Britney, currently making $475,00 per show, she’s one of Vegas’ highest paid performers, so you can understand even more why she’d like to keep singing there for a while longer.

Now watch her in part of her Britney: Piece of Me show in the video below. She looks incredible, she’s superb singing live and, man, does she put on a good show.
