Britney Spears sings Bonnie Raitt’s ‘Something to Talk About’ and complains about media

It seems Britney Spears might be a little bit ticked at the media although, frankly, from the way she has been treated over the years I’m not surprised. At least if comments she made during her Piece of Me show in Las Vegas last night are anything to go by.

The comments came right before Britney sang a cover of Bonnie Raitt’s ‘Something To Talk About‘, with an introduction that went like this:

“It’s really crazy. Because one minute they tear you down and the next minute you’re on top of the world, but I’ve never really spoke about it… I’m a Southern girl, I’m from Louisiana, I’m from the South, and I like to keep it real, so I just want to make sure I keep having you motherf*ckers something to talk about.”

Come on, you can’t really blame her. The media has hounded her for years.

Britney Spears is currently doing her Piece of Me Las Vegas residency through the end of this year. That kind of residency comes with an absolutely brutal schedule and, to say she has been doing it around 50 times a year since 2013, you have got to admire that kind of stamina.

Watch Spears singing Bonnie Raitt’s ‘Something To Talk About‘ in the video below and, of course, listen to that brutally honest introduction. Gotta love her!
