British stage actress and YouTube celebrity Carrie Hope Fletcher and a huge crowd of Brits have beaten the Guinness World Record for ‘Most People Singing Live in a Radio Broadcast’.

The attempt was made on Sunday during the Barclaycard British Summer Time Festival in Hyde Park, and the people at Guinness World Records certified the record yesterday.

The record was broken by Carrie Hope Fletcher and the crowd with a sing-along to ‘Let It Go’ from Disney’s Frozen.

The performance was also broadcast live on FunKids Radio.

Of course, it’s not just ‘Most People Singing Live in a Radio Broadcast’ that the folks at Guinness World Records certifies when it happens.

Other mass participation records include ‘Most People Washing Their Feet‘ and ‘Largest Gathering of People Wearing Akubra Hats‘ (yep, those are also a thing).

But, even though some of the records are a bit silly, I still have to say it was nice to see we Brits breaking another one of them.

Congratulations to Carrie and, of course, the crowd who more than helped.

If you would like to see more of Carrie Hope Fletcher, she has a very popular YouTube channel where she sometimes sings but mostly chats.
