Castaway Diva‘s last half overlaps My Dearest‘s first half in its time slot

While I think it is wonderful that the so-far superb K-drama Castaway Diva, Episode 3 earned its highest rating yet in South Korea last night, I will just remind viewers we do still have nine more episodes to go.

And a lot can happen in nine episodes.

That being said, the cast and crew of Castaway Diva should be happy with last night’s ratings as the tvN drama not only earned 5.55 percent of the audience share nationwide, a rise from its previous episode’s 5.15 percent, it also managed to earn that while going up against the hit series My Dearest.

Yes, My Dearest does begin airing half an hour into Castaway Diva‘s run time so that is a heckuva win for the tvN drama, eh?

In Seoul, Castaway Diva, Episode 3 saw an even higher rating, with the romantic comedy grabbing 6.17 percent of the audience, which is up from its previous episode’s 5.40 percent.

Castaway Diva and international audiences

The new K-drama is also performing well with international audiences, with My Drama List users currently rating the tvN drama a high (for that site) 8.6 out of 10, and with those rating it on IMDB giving it an average of 8.6 out of 10 as well.

Throw in that Castaway Diva just premiered on Netflix, and we all know how much Netflix users loved Park Eun Bin’s previous hit drama Extraordinary Attorney Woo, so I guarantee it will be in the Top 10 there when the streaming service releases its latest numbers on Tuesday.

Castaway Diva stars the superb cast of Park Eun Bin, Kim Hyo Jin, Chae Jong Hyeop, Cha Hak Yeon, and Kim Joo Hun.

Its next episode airs tonight on tvN in South Korea 21:20(KST), with Netflix streaming the episode around the same time.
