Korean rapper, singer (member of boy band 2PM) and actor Chansung has been confirmed to star in an upcoming new rom-com drama.
Provisionally titled Serious About Dating, the new ENA drama will also star Girl’s Day’s Sojin, with both Sojin and Hwang Chansung’s agencies confirming the stars casting.
Few details have been released about the drama so far, except that it follows the story of a dating coach and a charming man, and is currently in production.
Yoo In Na, Yoon Hyun Min, and Joo Sang Wook are also part of the main cast.
Chansung’s starring role in Serious About Dating won’t, of course, be his first.
The Korean actor has already starred in a number of dramas, including Kaitō Royale back in 2011, 7th Grade Civil Servant a year later and,in his most recent starring role as Han Jung-won in Show Window: The Queen’s House earlier this year.
Along with various cameo appearances, Chansung has also played numerous supporting roles, with one of his most recent (and funniest) in the hit rom-com What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim? (Watch on Viki)
The talented artist has also starred in several theatrical productions, as well as appeared in a number of films.
With Chansung’s starring role in Serious About Dating, it’s nice to see him back in a starring role.
Serious About Dating is likely to premiere some time in the first half of 2023. We will keep you posted as more news is released.
