(#29) — Conchita performs ‘You Are Unstoppable’ in the hottest latex dress — both literally and figuratively
Still one of my Top 10 Conchita Wurst moments of any is when the Austrian singer stood on an open-air stage at Cologne Pride back in 2015 wearing high heels and the tightest, sexiest latex crop top and skirt you’ve ever seen.
Then she belted out ‘You Are Unstoppable‘ with that massive voice.
That in itself would have been enough if it hadn’t been for the fact that it was over 38°c, and the sweat and lube were dripping off her in buckets.
Because that made it even better.
That’s why Conchita’s ‘You Are Unstoppable‘ live at Cologne Pride, 2015 is #29 on my Conchita WURST’s Top 40 Best Live Performances.
Her performance and the fabulous outrageousness of that gorgeous outfit.

Now, I’m not going to say anything more about this performance — except that it was phenomenal, she was beautiful and, man, can she stand the heat! — because I already said all I wanted to say in the article I wrote about it when it happened.
An article I have to say I’m quite proud of.
Because I met Conchita for the first time a few months after this event and, when I asked her if she had read my articles about her, she said “Not all of them”.
She then went on to mention the article I had written about her and her latex outfit at Cologne Pride. Mentioned it because she wanted to tell me, “You were the only one who understood what I was doing” (with that outfit and that performance). (And I think she meant the only writer, and not the only person on the planet!)
But it’s here where I could kick myself. Because I was so happy she actually knew about something I’d written, and thought it was accurate, I interrupted her to talk about the Russian fans being so upset that she was so hot.
Interrupted her, and stopped her from saying the ‘something else’ about my article she was going to say next.
And you know those moments in life that you wish you could take back?
Honestly, I don’t have many of them, because I figure you learn from your mistakes — but…that’s one of them.
Because I wish I’d kept my bloody big mouth shut for just a few more seconds, and let her say what she had planned on saying. Instead of interrupting her to talk about the Russians. (No offense, guys! 🙂 )
As now I will never know if it was “Keep writing how you do about me” or “For chrissake, now can you please stop!!!”
