Dare to Love Me Ep 2 ratings fall as international viewers give K-drama solid ratings

It always interests me how views about a K-drama can be so different when it comes to the dramas Korean audiences like, and those international audiences enjoy.

Take the ongoing KBS2 drama Dare to Love Me, which aired its second episode in South Korea last night to a substantial fall in ratings.

Ratings that, according to Nielsen Korea, fell from the K-drama’s first episode‘s 2.3 percent nationwide, to last night’s 1.5 percent.

A rating that also dropped the K-drama from its 25th most-watched place to last night’s 31st place on Korean TV.

Ratings for Dare to Love Me from international audiences

While ratings for Dare to Love Me, Episode 1 dropped in South Korea, however, international viewers on My Drama List continue to rate the K-drama with a solid 8.1 out of 10 after its second episode aired.

As users on My Drama List are incredibly picky about the ratings they give, the rating continuing to remain the same from MDL users is a positive sign.

Viewers on Viki, the streaming platform where Dare to Love Me is currently airing, are also rating the drama with an 8.1 out of 10. Although, to be fair, that is a low rating for the platform, so we’ll see where it goes from here.

The next episode of Dare to Love Me, which stars Kim Myung Soo and Lee Yoo Young, will air next Monday May 20th.

It will be an episode that will give us more of an idea where viewers are going to go with the drama — stick with it (I am, it’s hilarious), or give it a drop.
