Days with My Stepsister Ep 3 recap – underwear, urges and falling in love

Days with My Stepsister, Episode 3 recap and Saki’s real feelings in her diary

As Yuuta and his stepsister Saki continue to get closer, Days with My Stepsister, Episode 3, “Reflection and Revision” starts with Yuuta waking up in the  morning and remembering Saki brought Maaya back to the home they shared together.

He also remembers Saki also confessed she told Maaya she and Yuuta were now step-siblings.

He then hears Saki talking to his mother about helping with breakfast, and soon the four new family members are eating breakfast together and talking about the eggs Saki’s mother makes.

After breakfast, Yuuta is washing the dishes and offers to do Saki and her mother’s laundry.

It’s then that the two women tell him they will do their own, as women’s clothing is more delicate than men’s.

Yuuta becomes embarrassed when Saki’s mother asks if she should wash his underwear.

The two teenagers walk to school together, and Saki apologizes to Yuuta about the underwear. She then gets it into her head he may prefer to wear women’s clothes, and could be a cross-dresser.

It turns out she came to this conclusion as Yuuta has nice-shaped eyebrows, and she thinks he has them done at a beauty salon. He doesn’t. They’re all-natural.

Saki’s underwear and Yuuta’s urges

Later in the day back home, Yuuta walks into Saki’s open doorway only to see her bra hanging drying on a rack. He is startled when he hears her say behind him, “You’re home”.

He rushes off to get ready for work.

Back at home, Saki arrives at his door saying she knows he was looking at her underwear, and did he think she thought he was going to steal them?

She then gives him a cup of hot cocoa.

But she still wants to know, was her underwear tempting enough to catch his eye? (Yep, she seems a little obsessed with underwear, doesn’t she?)

Yuuta admits, sure, he might have felt like taking her underwear, but just thinking about something and having an urge to do something doesn’t mean you have to act on it.

The day after, they are at school and Yuuta notices Saki sitting by herself during tennis.

Maaya then appears calling him “Big Brother”, and asking if something happened to Saki as she seems depressed.

After tennis ends, he sends Saki a message asking if something happened, but she doesn’t reply until hours later and, when she does, she simply says “No”.

Saki offers her body to Yuuta

Back at home that night, the two eat dinner together while their parents are still out.

Yuuta then confesses he still hasn’t been able to find Saki a high-paying job (he had promised to help her land one in Episode 2).

The anime then takes a weird turn, as Saki suddenly turns Yuuta’s bedroom light out, strips naked, climbs onto the bed and asks him if he wants to buy her body.

It then switches to Saki’s diary from earlier in the week, where she talks about meeting Yuuta for the first time and realizing he isn’t a bad person. She is also surprised he attends the same school as she does.

She then confesses, after talking to him, this may be the first time anyone has actually understood her real feelings.

Saki also mentions she enjoyed it when Maaya came over, as the three of them played games, and laughed a lot.

The fact that she and Yuuta exchanged contact information after Maaya left also seemed to be important to her.

It also appears Yuuta understanding her so well confuses her, and she finds it quite “dangerous”.

The anime then switches back to the present where Yuuta tells Saki that her offering her body to him is her acting like the kind of girl he really hates.

Using her looks as a way to get ahead is horrible, and he didn’t think she would do that.

Saki then admits that some of her behavior may have come from the way her father behaved when he lost his job.

Her mother dealt with the job loss by working twice as hard, at which point Saki’s father called her a “sex worker” saying she was using her body at work to get customers.

We then learn Yuuta’s situation is relatively similar, as his mother cheated on his father and that made his father paranoid about women.

Saki asks if that made Yuuta feel the same way, and says she feels like she and he have a lot in common.

Even with the parts of them that are “broken”.

Yuuta agrees but says he believes they will be okay getting along. As brother and sister.

He even says she can call him “Big Brother”, and he’s okay with that.

The episode ends with Saki admitting she doesn’t want to call him Big Brother as, if she does, she may begin to depend on him even more than is good for her.

As the final scenes unfold, we start to get the idea that Saki may just be in love with Yuuta.
