The new Jo Bo Ah, Rowoon fantasy romance drama Destined with You, Episode 1 aired on JTBC last night to strong ratings both nationwide and in Seoul.
New figures via Nielsen Korea show Destined with You, Episode 1 earned 2.91 percent nationwide, along with a 2.93 percent audience share in Seoul.
Those ratings are on a par with previous JTBC dramas in the same time slot Miraculous Brothers and The Interest of Love, but lower than the extremely successful The Good Bad Mother.
It will be interesting to see then if Destined with You follows the same solid but unspectacular ratings of Miraculous Brothers and The Interest of Love, or is ultimately as successful as The Good Bad Mother became.
If the drama continues in the same vein as Episode 1, however, I presume it will be the latter.
Destined with You and Netflix viewers
While there is no way to know how many people watched Destined with You, Episode 1 via Netflix yesterday (Flix Patrol will release some data tomorrow), as the drama is currently ‘Trending’ on the streaming platform it is safe to say it is doing well.
As more people will likely watch the drama on Netflix than will watch it on JTBC in South Korea, to some extent those numbers are more important.
We will keep you posted as soon as we find out,
Destined with You stars Jo Bo Ah, Rowoon, Ha Jun, and Yura.
As Netflix explains about the plot:
