Like I’ve said a million times, country music usually isn’t my speed. But occasionally a song comes along from a country singer that flips my switches. This week, it’s Dierks Bentley’s ‘What The Hell Did I Say‘, a song that has Dierks singing about drinking too much, and then drunk dialing his girlfriend.
Something I can definitely relate to as, God knows, I’ve done more than my fair share of drunk dialing.

And what is great about the video that comes with Dierks Bentley’s ‘What The Hell Did I Say’, is that it starts out with the guy hearing from his girlfriend that, sure, she knows he was drunk when he called her last night. But..she loves what he said, and she’s coming on over.
Which leaves Dierks asking himself, “What the hell did I say when I called last night, dripping words of whisky honey in the message she liked?”
See? Drunk dialing. Not usually a good idea.
The video for ‘What The Hell Did I Say‘ is also the second part of a four-part video mini story, beginning with ‘I’ll Be The Moon‘ released earlier in the month. We’ll learn more about what happens in the mini story in the video for his next single ‘Pick Up‘ to debut on Rolling Stone on April 29th. Should be fun!
