The ongoing medical-themed rom-com Doctor Slump, Episode 11 aired last night to a big drop in its ratings.
For a K-drama with ratings that have been quite turbulent since it premiered on January 27th, the ratings drop in South Korea versus its previous episode’s all-time high was still a bit of a shock.
According to Nielsen Korea, Doctor Slump, Episode 11 earned 5.70 percent of the audience share, which is a substantial drop from its previous episode’s all-time high of 8.17 percent.
In Seoul, the Korean drama experienced a similar drop, falling from Episode 10’s all-time high of 9.77 percent to last night’s 6.44 percent of the viewership — a more than 3.0 percent drop.
Doctor Slump on Netflix
Outside Korea, however, the drama continues to perform extraordinarily well on Netflix.
According to that streaming platform’s official figures, Doctor Slump has been on the Top 10 Non-English Films chart for the last five weeks.
It premiered on the chart just two days after the K-drama released on Netflix and has never dropped off it.
The latest data from Netflix will be released on Tuesday and, from the numbers Flix Patrol is reporting, it is very likely Doctor Slump will still be in the Top 10 then as well.
The next episode of Doctor Slump, which stars Park Hyung Sik, Park Shin Hye, Yoon Park, and Gong Seong Ha, airs later on today on JTBC in South Korea, followed by streaming worldwide on Netflix.
