Down Like Silver’s ‘To The River‘ was featured on the TNT post-apocalyptic series The Last Ship a couple of weeks ago, (Season 2, Episode 2 “Fight The Ship“), and it’s been a fan favorite ever since. The track appeared at the end of the episode while the funeral service was taking place.
Down Like Silver is duo Caitlin Canty and Peter Bradley Adams. They co-write and co-sing every song they record.
As for the music scored for The Last Ship, there’s an interesting interview on Channel Guide with composers Jim Dooley and James S. Levine, who talk about how the music is created and what is important to them while doing it.
