Dreamcar’s ‘Kill For Candy‘ has a The Cure-Like Guitar and a 1980s-Style Chorus that is very cool

Los Angeles-based band Dreamcar has a new music video out and the song has been stuck in my head for the last three hours, because it’s fab.

The song is called ‘Kill for Candy‘, and it’s the lead single from their upcoming self-titled debut album. It comes with a The Cure-like guitar and a 1980s-alternative rock chorus that I love.

So who are Dreamcar?

Basically the band is everyone from Gwen Stefani‘s band No Doubt, minus Stefani, and plus American rock band AFI’s lead singer Davey Havok.

They got together to form a new group when Stefani went off to start work on her 2016  third solo album, and they’ve been working on new music ever since.

If you like ‘Kill For Candy‘ as much as I do, you can hear them sing it live on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on April 18th, so mark your calendar.

And, of course, you can buy ‘Kill For Candy‘ on all major music sites. The album itself releases on May 20th.
