Dum Dum Girls ‘Coming Down’ played at end of ‘Orange is the New Black‘ episode
If you have spent any time watching the Netflix original series Orange is the New Black, you will already know the show features some amazing music.
Until last week’s episode of Orange is the New Black — Season 3, Episode 3, called “Empathy Is a Boner Killer” outdid itself, at least in my opinion, when it featured Dum Dum Girls’ ‘Coming Down’ — a song I have loved forever.
Well, for four years, since it was first released on the band’s album Only In Dreams.
Dum Dum Girls, of course, is a New York-based indie pop rock band, formed by lead singer Dee Dee Penny back in 2008. The band currently have three albums out, four EPs and a slew of singles. Their most recent release was “On Christmas” last December.
For me, though, nothing has yet come close to ‘Coming Down‘, and its hypnotic sound.
Watch the official video for Dum Dum Girls’ ‘Coming Down‘ below, which is interesting in and of itself as we get to watch Dee Dee Penny getting part of her clothing cut away.
Fantasies, loves, fantasies.
