Duran Duran’s ‘What Are The Chances’ Is a Beautiful Ballad (Video)

Duran Duran has released a single from their upcoming new album Paper Gods. Called ‘What Are The Chances‘, it’s a classic slow Duran Duran electro-pop ballad with some beautiful harmonies that, so far, fans seem to be loving.

It follows the release of ‘Pressure Off’, the first single from the album and ‘You Kill Me With Silence‘.

As for the album Paper Gods, this should be an interesting one. It’s the band’s 14th studio album, and it’s Duran Duran working with a slew of collaborators including Kiesza, Nile Rodgers, Mark Ronson, Hudson, and ex-Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante.

Frusciante, of course, is whose gorgeous guitar you can hear on ‘What Are The Chances‘, as well as on other tracks on the album.

And it’s amazing to me that, almost 35 years after the release of their first album, the smash hit Duran Duran, the band are still producing such perfect music.

The 12-track Paper Gods is due out in the U.S. on September 11th. It was produced by Rodgers and Ronson, and will be on Warner Bros. Records.

Meanwhile, listen to ‘What Are The Chances‘ in the audio video below. Pretty isn’t it?
