Singer songwriter Ed Sheeran‘s massively successful third studio album Divide is getting a documentary that covers how the album was created.
The Sheeran documentary is called Songwriter, and will not only look at how the superstar singer creates his music, but will also give us an insight into his childhood via personal photographs and video from his family, and how that affected his musical abilities and, of course, his success.
It even shows him on a visit back to his old school, and in an emotional meeting with his former music teacher.
The documentary will show Ed Sheeran on tour, staying in a Malibu mansion, having a jam session with friends, and even on a luxury cruise, as well as working with the producer of Divide, Benny Blanco, and collaborators Amy Wadge, Johnny McDaid, Foy Vance, Ryan Tedder, and Julia Michaels.

Directed by Sheeran’s cousin, Murray Cummings, Songwriter is due for release in a few New York theaters on August 17, and in Los Angeles on August 24 on August.
Apple Music will then get an exclusive of the documentary on August 28th.
