Florence and the Machine’s new song ‘Moderation’ debuted live in Australia

Florence and the Machine’s new song ‘Moderation‘ reminiscent of Ceremonials

British indie rock band Florence and the Machine’s High As Hope Tour hit Australia this week, and the first concert down under came with a surprise.

A brand new Florence and the Machine song.

Called ‘Moderation‘, the new track was debuted live in Perth, Australia during the Florence and the Machine concert at the RAC Arena.

And, rather than the more stripped down music we got with both How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful and last year’s fourth studio album High As Hope, this new Florence and the Machine song is definitely more reminiscent of the band’s 2011 sophomore album Ceremonials.

Particularly when it comes to realizing that that quite lighthearted sound at first listen actually covers a helluva lot of gloom.

Listen to Florence and the Machine’s brand new song ‘Moderation‘ in the video filmed in Perth, Australia on Saturday. And yes, it’s Florence and her band serving up a powerful, high-energy concert. Just like they always do.
