Han Ye Ri in Minari

South Korean actress Han Ye Ri’s agency SARAM Entertainment has announced the 38-year-old actress is in talks to star in the supernatural drama The Sense, although nothing has yet been agreed upon by the actress or the production committee.

The upcoming drama is set in a Catholic high school in which a teacher and several students who can sense and touch spirits are faced with a dangerously evil spirit.

Lee Jeung Heum (Inspector Koo and I’ve Got My Eye on You) is directing The Sense.

It will be his first drama since the highly successful Inspector Koo wowed audiences both in Korea and worldwide via Netflix.

As for Han Ye Ri, if she is cast in The Sense, she will be returning to a drama series right off the back of her role as Jo Jung Hyun in the recently released mystery thrilled Hometown.

Prior to that, in just the last few years, she starred in hits like Minari, My Unfamiliar Family, The Nokdu Flower, Switch: Change the World, and the romantic comedy Age of Youth (Seasons 1 and 2).

She has also appeared in starring roles in the films Champion, The Table, Worst Woman and A Dramatic Night.

The actress is also known for the indie roles she appeared in at the beginning of her career, and in particular her role in As One, for which she was given the Best New Actress award at the Baeksang Arts Awards.

Han Ye Ri also received accolades for her role as Monica Yi in the Academy Award-nominated film Minari.
