The vampire-themed Korean drama Heartbeat aired its final episode last night with a solid rating for the KBS2 series.
According to Nielsen Korea, Heartbeat, Episode 16 ended the series with a 3.0 percent rating, which was an increase of .40 percent from its previous episode’s 2.6 percent.
In Seoul, the romantic comedy drama garnered a slightly higher 3.1 percent, the same rating it received for Episode 15.
Both ratings mean Heartbeat‘s average rating over the entire 16-episode series was 2.8 percent. A solid rating for a KBS2 series.
As for international audiences, on IMDB Heartbeat is currently rated a 7.6 out of 10, with viewers using My Drama List rating it a slightly higher 7.7 out of 10.
Most viewers commenting about the drama, though, stress that the plot and the writing take a nose-dive after Episode 6, with quite a number dropping Heartbeat in frustration.
Most also hate Episode 16’s sad ending, with some saying they wish they hadn’t wasted time watching the drama to its conclusion.
Heartbeat stars Ok Taec Yeon, Won Ji An, Park Kang Hyun, and Yoon So Hee.
The drama aired on KBS2 on Monday evenings, with Amazon Prime Video streaming it in some regions.
