Hoshimachi Suisei’s First Take performance of ‘Stellar Stellar’ shows off her massively powerful voice from first note

Hoshimachi Suisei cuter than cute on The First Take

The Sony-owned YouTube channel The First Take did something today they have never done before.

Something that caused the video they uploaded of a unique First Take performance to skyrocket to over 1.4 million views in less than five hours.

That performance was that of the first virtual YouTuber to ever sing on their channel — Hoshimachi Suisei — a YouTuber who began her virtual career as an independent artist in 2018.

She then persuaded the iconic virtual YouTuber agency Hololive Productions to sign her.

The album hit #5 on the  Oricon Daily Album Ranking, making her the most successful solo VTuber on the chart to date.

Hoshimachi Suisei’s The First Take performance, of course, was far different than how a typical Japanese musician is filmed for the platform, as her animated avatar was the focus of the session.

An avatar that even wore a set of Sony headphones as she gave her one-take performance in front of the mike, with an incredibly powerful voice that always makes me long to see what the singer looks like in real life.

Watch Hoshimachi Suisei’s The First Take performance of ‘Stellar Stellar‘ below, and notice how she shows off her massively powerful voice from the very first note she sings.

You can hear more of her songs on her official YouTube channel where she has more than 1.7 million followers, as well as hear her entire Still Still Stellar album featuring ‘Stellar Stellar‘ via the Spotify player below.

Don’t miss the rest of her music on her Spotify channel either.
