I gave Benjamin Ingrosso’s ‘Dance You Off’ a second chance, now I’m dancing around my kitchen — Repeat Rotation Video

I didn’t like Benjamin Ingrosso’s song ‘Dance You Off‘ when he won Melodifestivalen back in March. I still didn’t like ‘Dance You Off‘ when Ingrosso and it represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon last month.

And I was disappointed when it ended up in seventh place in the ESC Grand Final, as I felt there were better songs.

Then, in a moment of fog brain this morning, I made the mistake of clicking on the recently released music video for Ingrosso’s ‘Dance You Off’ because, frankly, I couldn’t remember who he was or why that song title sounded so familiar. (Come on, it’s Eurovision! After a while, all these acts meld into one).

And when I did, you could honestly have knocked me down with a feather. Because I found myself not only enjoying this catchy, upbeat electropop song, with its funk undertones, it also had me dancing around my kitchen in 30 seconds flat.

So much so, in fact, Benjamin Ingrosso’s ‘Dance You Off’ became my Repeat Rotation Video today, and I have been listening to it over and over again for half the day.

Because, let’s face it, it’s the perfect get you ready for the week song — happy, bright and poppy — has strong, cool vocals, and, yep, definitely makes you want to dance. Plus, the video Ingrosso shot to go with it is sexy and fun.

So, if you are like me and didn’t like Benjamin Ingrosso’s ‘Dance You Off‘ when you heard it at Eurovision, give it a second chance in the official music video below.

Because I guarantee, you could end up like me — choosing it as a Repeat Rotation Video and dancing uncontrollably around your kitchen. Again and again and again.
