Korean actor Im Hyung Joon (Be My Dream Family) has been confirmed for a role in the upcoming Disney+ original Low Life K-drama.
He will portray the character Go Seok Bae, a diver dedicated to salvaging sunken pottery from the depths of the sea.
Directed by Kang Yoon Sung (The Roundup), Low Life reportedly tells the story of a morally ambiguous protagonist aiming to amass wealth by exploiting a treasure-laden shipwreck.
The drama stars Ryu Seung Ryong, Yang Se Jong, and Lim Soo Jung, with a supporting cast that includes Kim Eui Sung, Kim Sung Oh and Hong Ji Koon.

Adapted from the webtoon of the same title by Yoon Tae Ho, the narrative draws inspiration from the real-life discovery of a treasure ship off Sinan in the 1970s.
It follows a man and his nephew who accept a job to go on a treasure dig in order to escape their lives as sellers of counterfeit artifacts.
Low Life will mark Im Hyung Joon’s fourth collaboration with director Kang Yoon Sung, following his appearance in films like The Outlaws and Long Live the King: Mokpo Hero, as well as in the drama Big Bet.
