Is Bebe Rexha sexy or, at 30, is she over the hill? Oh, please…

Bebe Rexha is sexier than most 20-year-olds I know (as her videos and photos below attest to)

Bebe Rexha is releasing a new song on August 30th.

Called ‘Not 20 Anymore‘, the track (it’s not a single! She said so!) is a celebration of her 30th birthday, which will occur on the same day. But it’s also more than that.

It is a song that is a reaction to something a male music executive told her about her age. Something Rexha explained on her Instagram yesterday:

“I recently had a MALE music executive tell me that I was getting too old and that my brand was ‘confusing.’ Because… I’m a songwriter and I post sexy pics on my Instagram and that’s not what female songwriters are suppose to do, especially for my age.

Anyways, I’m turning 30 on August 30 and you know what, I’m not running away from it. I’m not gonna lie about my age or sing songs that I feel will sell better because they sound ‘younger.’”

Because, yes, as just about every woman is made aware of when they hit 30, 30 is over the hill for women, whereas men still ‘have it’ at 60. (And if you believe that, there’s a bridge over the Danube…)

Bebe being Bebe, however, didn’t sit still and get depressed about it.

Instead, she decided to own her age, her image and her music, and fight back:

“I’m gonna celebrate my age because you know what, I’m wiser, I’m stronger and TRUST ME I’m a much better lover than I was 10 years ago.”

And, honestly, I don’t know about you, but when I look at photos and videos of Bebe Rexha at almost 30, she looks to me hotter than most of the 20-year-olds I see around me.

Hotter, cooler, sexier, more comfortable in her skin and with a helluva lot more personality and substance.

So I say, fuck the music executive Bebe.

Have fun on your birthday, and keep releasing the catchy, cool and awesome music we all love. Because your music career will still be going strong when that music executive’s career has died.

Because if he doesn’t see how sexy you are, or how great your music is, he’s not a very good judge of high quality and I wouldn’t want to be the company that’s paying him.
